I have a 1997 T/A with a stock lt1 engine and around 125000 miles on it. Can i add a small turbo to it without it going BOOM!?

If easy highway miles with frequent oil changes, then probably you'd be OK. If 125,000 miles of heavy city stop and go traffic and few and far between oil changes then it might not be a ggod idea.
