I want to buy a Pontiac Firebird Smokey and the Bandit but I want to get an original one not some random firebird that come out in the late 60's or 70's that was painted black and has the Phoenix on the bonnet.
Smokey and the Bandit film came out in 1977 so how long before did the car come out? When Im searching for the car do I just look for one thats called Pontiac Firebird Smokey and the Bandit trans am special edition? What other details should I know so I can get an original?

They are black and gold 1976 to 1981 Special Edition Transam Firebirds.

And look for the Hurst t-top's.
