I own a 91 formula firebird. Including parts and labor, I have a budget of $5,000. The engine has 168,000 miles and is a daily driver. What can I do to increase the horse power and tear some rubber. I have shorty headers and flowmasters. Please help.

if it was my vehicle I wouldnt chance tryin to make alot of power with an engine with that many miles. I would maybe save up for alittle bit longer and mayber try to find a 305 or a 350ci crate motor, then start putting money into it so increase power output, but thats just me. Whatever you decide to do ,good luck with it.
