In fact I think there was a post he made about it once. 427HEMIPONTIAC December 12th, 2005, 01:47 AM The Pontiac 427 Hemi was a rarity. It was a monster bore, and a 3.75" stroke, with the lower head bolts that were super long that dropped all the way down to the main bearing caps. This made a super strong head block combo. It was a 7L engine with 500 hp in base trim. It was fuel injected also. Unfortunately, Ed Cole put a kabosh on Pontiac (as it would have given the Pontiac a killer edge over Chevy, and Ed couldn't allow that to happen). Same with the 400 Ram Air V, 500 or so were given away, but very few survive today. The 427 Pontiac Hemi was a 1 of project. As for fitting a 2002 T/A, it would be a tough fit into anything short of an older full size car like a GTO, Firebird or full size GM car. |
