View Full Version : whats the diff between the formula and a ws6? fraction project December 26th, 2005, 08:07 PM thinking about buying a 2002 ws6 but want to no if there is any diff between the two. 1BADLT-1 December 28th, 2005, 09:45 AM well first of all the ws6 has alittle better suspension under it, plus the ram air option (5-10 more HP)also it has the "high" rise spoiler seen on trans am's both are good cars but if ur into the "sleeper" look go with the formula. SilverWS6 January 5th, 2006, 09:33 PM I have driven the formula and the WS6. The WS6 has much better handling and it does look more aggressive. To be honest the WS6 is just a modified version of the formula. I have a 99 WS6 and my insurance is listed as a formula. If you want my advice, get the WS6. tim99ws6 January 8th, 2006, 12:15 AM the WS.6 does not have any better suspension(both come stock with decarbon shocks, and stock springs). The WS.6 does have a 1LE front sway bar, but rear bars are the same. Also, the WS.6 has a "free flowing exhaust".....thats a bunch of bs, as they dyno damn near the exact same to the wheels. Obviously, you get the hood, and the badging, as well as some 17 inch wheels. FWIW-the creme of the crop is to get a WS.6 formula. they do exist, while they are a little more rare. http://carpictures.duble.com/Pontiac/Firebird%20Formula%20WS6%20Ram%20Air/2.jpg |
