Can anyone tell me where I could get one of the boots for the convertable? My husband found one in one of the pontiac books but haven't seen one since. This boot makes it look like it is a two seater. I have a 2000 trans am firebird ram air and I have been looking for awhile. thought maybe the trans am owners might help me. thank you

That would definitely be a threat to the new Camaro if it ever gets made... It looks sweet though.

I own a 1998 Pontiac Trans Am and I love it to death. When the GTO was comming out I wanted to get one, but was turned off by the body style. I believe that if Pontiac were to bring this Trans Am concept to the market it would blow away the Chevy Camaro and the Dodge Charger and give the Ford Mustang a run for its money. Of course with all the time they have to perfect the car before they actually release it, they can work that engine to blow away the Ford Mustang GT500. I know I'll be in line to get the new Trans Am if/when it comes out as I believe it is truly one of the original American muscle cars.

Ive seen the 2009 in white, red, black, and blue and i like it a bit more than the camaro. I love the look of that shaker and the phoenix bird on the hood but most of all that front end. I'd definetly buy one.

Looks great, except for the hood bird. I think the early 70's decals would look alot better, the hood is to small for that bird.

I think this is an absolutely awesome looking vehicle. Now if only this can translate from deam to reality I will be a very happly lady. Mustang and others have done well with their retro efforts so why not Pontiac?

When I finish school and become omnipotent ruler of the known universe I shall dictate that this car become a reality. Oh, and with a 500 plus HP 455 (of course).

This design is about 8 months old. Kevin first showed his concept on transamcountry.com and it has been seen by GM. Bob Putz, I mean Lutz said, "...the day for the Firebird is over."

It looks great ...I wonder if they are gonna put some serious motor in it or beat around the bush with that. GM has been good in the past few years with waiting a couple years before they put the right motor in a good car. I hope they produce it but I wouldnt be suprised if it never gets made...but if they do it will happen just in time for me to upgrade

Not going to happen. GM didn't come up with the design. Kevin Morgan did. He is an ordinary guy that loves Pontiacs.

True; hollyweird doesn't have an original thought in their heads.

But back on topic; WTF is up with GM's "edged" design - a la Caddilac -these days? Looks like crap, which is OK for a Caddy, but not for an F-body.

I have never EVER seen an F-body of any year that did not have rounded curves - not edged front and fenders. They all looked like liquid in motion. Hell, new Buicks look curvier than these F-body concepts.

If this is what GM is going to build in their new F-body, they can keep it. I'll shop for a used GTO or a GS6 hard-top convertible or a Mustang.

Arrrrgh!

The edged look you are refering to is the "stealth" look. Like the F-117. GM likes to follow the military designs. Think back to the jet age!

I agree. They can keep it. It looks stupid. And your right about hollyweird. All the damn movies coming out are remakes of older movies. This has been happening for 10 years or more. Idiots.
