question basically states it all what do you guys think?

Depends on alot of things ... the first being can you afford the cost of a new car for your first car ?
Im assuming you are a youngster 16-18 years old , and being a father of teens myself I can't say where I would like my kid driving a NEW car , there is just too much cost with insurence and maintenance, fuel, and the fact the G8 is a larger vehicle will be both an asset and a issue with crash protection and fuel costs ...
if you are like most other children of driving age you want a new car but I would think you would be better off with a used one with some miles on it with lower cost and most of the depreciation allready gone so you could save you or your parents some money...
