pontiac G6 GTP cd changer error?

every time i try to load a cd into my cd player it says cd changer error and wont let me load the cd. i have hit the eject button thinking there was just another cd in there but there wasn't. it's been like this for a month and still won't work. any one know what could be causing this problem or how to fix it. or has this happened to anyone else?

Any chance you had a CD with a stick on label that is stuck inside? Otherwise look in your owners manual for the location of the main radio fuse, pull it and then reinsert it and see if that clears the message.
